Welcome to my page!
My name is Lori Kinard. I was born and raised in Mesquite, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. I graduated from West Mesquite High School. After graduation, I attended Texas A&M University in College Station where I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematical Sciences.
I have a beautiful daughter, Ashlyn, that is a senior at Texas A&M University. Whoop!! She is getting her degree in Biomedical Sciences. My family is my most precious possession. My parents live in Holland, and my sister and her family live in Temple. I enjoy scrapbooking, yard work, reading, and traveling.
My educational career began at Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland, Texas. I taught there for one year, and then I was asked to return "home" and teach at West Mesquite High School. I spent 11 great years there. While there, I taught math, sponsored Student Council, and directed the Lariette drill team. I also received my Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M Commerce during that time.
I'm beginning my 15th year in Holland, and I have loved every minute of it! Holland is a wonderful place to be. The students, teachers, staff, parents, and community support each other, and I feel we are a village raising our kids. I taught math and student leadership for the first 11 years, and then I became the part time assistant principal at the elementary school. I love being a Hornet and I am blessed to live in this community!
