Howdy! I’m JaCee Byrd. I teach 8th grade Reading/Language Arts in addition to providing dyslexia therapy at Holland Middle School. This is my 17th year in education and my 8th year in Holland. I am extremely passionate about literacy and helping students advocate and take ownership of their learning.

After graduating from Holland ISD in 2005, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University in 2008. In 2024, I graduated from Midwestern State University with a Master's in Special Education and currently practice as a Certified Academic Language Therapist.

My husband and I have been married 15 years, and we have three children- Jaxson (8th), Whitley (6th), and Lainey (3rd).
