Special programs in schools are programs that are intended to meet the unique needs of each student.

HISD serves students in the following special programs

  • Dyslexia 
  • English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • Gifted and Talented (GT)
  • Special Education

3rd-8th Grade STAAR Results

Starting June 17, 2025, you can easily access your child’s 2025 STAAR 3-8 results. Log in to your parent portal, and you’ll be able to see their results and find targeted support materials to help your child with just a few clicks.

EOC Results

2025 STAAR End-of-Course results go live on June 10, 2025! Log in to your parent portal to see how your child performed and explore tailored resources to support their learning at home.

 

TELPAS Results

2025 TELPAS results go live on June 12, 2025! Log in to your parent portal to see how your child performed and explore tailored resources to support their learning at home.

Family Learning Connection

The "Family Learning Connection," previously known as the "PFE Connection Newsletter," aims to provide a platform for sharing news, resources, and inspiring stories that highlight the importance of family engagement in education.  The newsletter is part of the Title I, Part A Parent & Family Engagement Statewide Initiative. We believe that when families and educators work together, students can achieve greater success.
