Holland ISD is preparing to apply for federal funds under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Therefore, we are required under Section 1117 and Section 8501 to have a timely and meaningful consultation with private non-profit (PNP) school officials. Such consultation must occur before any decision being made that affects the opportunities for eligible private school students or teachers to participate in programs. A private nonprofit is eligible to participate only if it can provide documentation of 501(c)(3) nonprofit status and the students meet program eligibility.
Holland ISD is scheduled to meet at Holland ISD Administration Office/Science and Technology Center at 7:00 pm on May 14, 2025. Please confirm your participation by sending an email response to Shane Downing.
During this meeting, Holland ISD will discuss available federal programs and services for eligible private school students, parents/families and teachers to include: Title I Part A-Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged; Title I, Part C-Migrant Education; Title II, Part A-Teacher and Principal Ttaining and Recruitment; Title III–English Language Acquisition, Language Enhancement & Academic Achievement; Title IV–Student Support & Academic Enrichment; Individuals with Disabilities Education Act-Part B (IDEA -B); and IDEA -B Preschool Program.
Private, non-profit schools that choose to participate in programs and services must comply with all federal requirements. For more information, please contact Shane Downing at 254-657-0175.
