Syllabus

Homework:

• Homework is assigned frequently.

  All assignments will be written down in the student’s planner.

  All work must be shown in order to receive credit on the assignment.

Late Work:

• Daily work turned in 1 school day late will have a maximum grade of a 70.

  Daily work 2 school days late will have a maximum grade of a 50 and will require a parent signature. 

  Daily work will not be accepted after 2 school days late. (Not due to absences)

Absent Work:

• In the event of an absence, students are responsible for looking at the weekly planner in the classroom to find any missing assignments. 

• Students have the same number of days absent from school to turn in the missing assignments. 

• If an assignment was due on the first day the student was absent, they are required to turn in

  that assignment on the day they return to school.

Grading Overview:

Tests/Quizzes/Projects are weighted 50%. 

Daily Grades are weighted 50%.

Daily Supplies:

Every day the student must bring:

• Pencils

  Eraser

  Red or Blue Pen

  Planner/Homework Folder

  Binder

  Composition Notebook

  Scratch Paper

Class Rules:

• Be Respectful

  Be Responsible

  Be Kind

  No Cell Phones (student phones will be placed in a secure spot in the room to minimize distractions during class, please contact the front office if you need contact with your student)

  Bring Supplies Every DAY

Consequences:

First Violation: Warning

Second Violation: Penalty Point

Third Violation: Penalty Points & Parent Contact
