Welcome to HMS!  My name is Marie Denson and I am excited to be the Assistant Principal at Holland Middle School!

I attended Salado schools for K-12 and then attended Lamar University for 2 years on a full basketball scholarship.  I transferred after 2 years and played my last 2 years at UMHB.  I graduated from UMHB in 2001 with a BBA in Marketing. I received my Masters Degree in Educational Technology Leadership with Principal Certification from Lamar University in 2008.  

I spent the majority of my career at Jarrell High School before coming to Holland ISD last year.  I was a teacher/coach for the first 13 years of my career and I have been an Assistant Principal for the past 7 years. This is my 21st overall year in education and my 2nd year in Holland.  My husband, Brandon, is also an educator.  He is a teacher/coach at Shoemaker HS in Killeen.  My bonus daughter, Ali, is 15 and attends school at Magnolia West HS.  I'm looking forward to meeting each of you!  Go Hornets!
