Howdy everyone. My name is Marshall Miles. I have been a teacher at Holland High School for 10 years. I graduated from Holland High School in 2001. I am a K-12 product of Holland ISD. I decided I wanted to be a high school ag teacher when I was a sophomore. After high school I attended Temple College for two semesters and then transferred to Texas A&M. At Texas A&M I worked as a student worker for the Administration Department as a courier and the Animal Science Department taking care of approximately 1000 breeding research ewes. My official job title was predator control. I spent a large amount of time setting coyote snares and scaring pigeons away from feed with exploding shotgun shells. I was a member of the Agriculture Fraternity Alpha Gamma Rho. I served as Vice President Alumni Relations and the Chaplin. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture Education in 2005. I taught ag in Center Texas from 2005-2010 and Chilton TX from 2010-2012, before coming back to Holland in 2012. I have been married to my high school sweetheart since 2006. We have two children. Kase is 10 years old, and Matilla (Tilley) is 5. Both attend Holland ISD. I teach Food Processing, Agriculture Mechanics, and Wildlife classes. My hobbies include fixing things, horses, hunting and fishing. I am an avid outdoorsman and pursue as much time as possible outdoors. My wife and I are extremally active in our church, 3-C Cowboy Fellowship. She is the team lead of children's ministry and I serve as a lay pastor. I also am an aspiring handmade cowboy boot maker. I plan on making cowboy boots in my spare time as soon as possible and full time after I retire from teaching.
