My name is Matt McCray and I am proud to say that this is my 21st year at Holland ISD and 27th year in education. I taught and coached for the first 12 years in Holland and then joined the administration team. For the past 8 years I have been serving as the high school assistant principal. I am excited to take on the challenge of being the campus principal this year and look forward to growing our school to even greater levels of individual and collective achievement.
I am happily married to my wife Pat McCray. We have been married for 24 years and she had a successful career as the Membership Director at KNCT-PBS in Killeen, TX for 22 years until she retired in 2018. We had two sons and four granddaughters. One of our granddaughters is a 2025 Graduate from Holland High School and currently the loudest and proudest member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2029.
